May phosphorus trichloride with a purity of over 99.8% be stored or transported in 316L stainless steel tanks? During loading or unloading, nitrogen is used for pressurization, keeping it almost free from air.
316 contains Mo, which confers corrosion resistance; it also has excellent resistance to pitting. There’s no problem with that. Moreover, 316L has even better chemical properties than 316
We have previously manufactured tanks for phosphorus trichloride, with a capacity of 50 M3; the material used was 2205. The customers have used them for over 10 years without any issues
