Advantages and disadvantages of various lining products: For example, what are the pros and cons of PTFE sheet lining, spraying, and roll coating, and how to choose the appropriate anti-corrosion method? It is known that the welds in sheet lining are weak points; they are prone to damage at high temperatures and cannot withstand negative pressure. Roll coating can tolerate negative pressure, but the quality of such coatings is not reliable. I am not a professional; I would appreciate guidance from experts: lol
I recently visited several companies that specialize in lining products, and here are my observations: 1. The companies I encountered were all quite small; 15 employees was considered a large number for them. 2. Their corporate image wasn’t very good; the workshops were in poor condition, and some of them were actually just small workshops. 3. Competition is fierce; although the city isn’t large, there are more than a dozen such companies there. 4. One company has been in operation for over 10 years, yet it only has 6 employees. When asked why, it was explained that lining products tend not to break down even after 10 years, meaning they are extremely resistant to corrosion. As a result, manufacturing companies find it difficult to survive, which brings joy to some while causing worry to others
There are various materials available for lining, as well as different lining processes. Common options include steel lining or fiberglass-reinforced plastic lining with PVDF or ECTFE; the weld quality in these cases is good, and they can also withstand a certain degree of negative pressure.
The spraying thickness cannot be very thick; when there is a gas phase present, penetration occurs easily. It is said that the thickness achieved through roll coating can be quite substantial; I’m not sure how these processes are chosen
