For the anti-corrosion protection of wind power generation equipment, attention should not only be paid to the design of anti-corrosion solutions and the selection of anti-corrosion coating systems, but also to the actual anti-corrosion construction process and quality control. While developing and utilizing wind energy resources, it is also necessary to pay attention to and conduct research on key technologies such as corrosion prevention techniques for wind power generation equipment, in order to better promote the development of the wind power sector. 2. Considering the corrosion conditions in wind farms in different regions and the requirement for an anti-corrosion lifespan of over 15 years, the typical anti-corrosion coating system for wind turbine towers in inland and coastal areas is: epoxy zinc-rich primer + epoxy intermediate coat + aliphatic polyurethane topcoat. Based on economic considerations and practicality, different anti-corrosion methods and coating thicknesses are employed in the anti-corrosion design and construction of wind farms in various regions. 3. In recent years, the coating design and application for wind power generation equipment have also evolved toward environmentally friendly solutions, water-based formulations, high solid content, low VOC (volatile organic compounds), greater film thickness, as well as simplified application processes that involve either 2 coats or even just 1 coat. Furthermore, drawing on the advanced practices of the bridge and construction industries, high-performance anti-corrosion coating products such as fluorocarbon topcoats or polysiloxane topcoats are increasingly being used in the wind power sector. These coatings offer greater resistance to sand, dust, rain, snow, and wind erosion, as well as better impact and UV resistance, while also preserving their shine and color better. 4. Offshore wind turbine coatings, following on from onshore and coastal wind turbines, impose newer and higher requirements on corrosion protection technologies and coatings. It will serve as the key focus for the future development of the wind power coating industry, thereby driving further progress in this sector.
