Grades: 1 – Completely resistant: <0.001; 2 – Highly resistant: 0.01–0.005, 0.005–0.01; 3 – Resistant: 0.01–0.05, 0.05–0.14; 4 – Moderately resistant: 0.1–0.5, 0.5–1.0; 5 – Slightly resistant: 1.0–5.0, 5.0–10.0; 6 – Not resistant: >10.0
This is a grading standard for the corrosion resistance of metals, which is divided into 6 grades based on the corrosion rate (in mm/a). It is said that this method was used quite early on, but it is less utilized these days. In his book \"Corrosion Data and Material Selection Handbook\", Mr. Zuo Jingyi classifies the corrosion resistance levels of metal materials into 4 grades, drawing on European and American standards. The ISO 9223 standard specifies the methods for grading and classifying atmospheric corrosion, dividing atmospheric corrosion into 6 levels: C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, and CX. There is also the classification of SYT 0087. These are the various ways of classification that can be seen at present.
