When sweat comes into contact with metal, a layer of sweat film forms on the surface of the metal. This sweat film exerts an electrochemical effect on the metal, causing it to corrode. Sometimes, due to our inadvertent touching of the treated metal surface, the anti-corrosion treatment can cause bubbling and damage to the anti-corrosion layer over time. Sweating is inevitable; to prevent rust caused by sweaty hands, one should wear gloves or finger covers, and avoid touching the treated metal surfaces with bare hands.
When checking the quality of metal surface treatment, construction managers should avoid touching the metal surface with their hands directly, as human sweat contains salts and organic acids, which can undergo electrochemical reactions with the metal, leading to its corrosion.
