The operating condition is that the tube side contains heating water, while the shell side uses a four-line configuration ； The operating temperature is 95 degrees in the tube side and 173 degrees in the shell side ； The pressure in the tube side is 0.65 MPa, and that in the shell side is 0.74 MPa. This tube bundle has been in use for over 2 years, and the tube sheet of the heating water system is severely corroded. It is mainly the electrochemical corrosion of the heating water that causes corrosion on the metal surface.
The corrosion problem of the tube sheet in this heat exchanger is likely caused by electrochemical reactions in the heating water. In environments with high temperatures and pressure differences, 10# steel is prone to corrosion. Anti-corrosion coatings can be used, or the material can be replaced with one that has better corrosion resistance, such as stainless steel, in order to reduce corrosion issues.
