Is everyone using the PDMS 3D model for the jacketing? How is it achieved?

Should the jacket flanges and valves be drawn on the inner tube or the outer tube? How can a single valve be equipped with a jacket?
It depends on your design drawings. Generally, valves are used for inner pipes; I’ve never seen any used for outer pipes (when the inner and outer pipes pass through the same location). Valve position: the outer tube is disconnected, and the inner tube is leaking out.
Currently, we install three-dimensional valves on the outer tube; although the valves are intended for use with the inner tube, since the flange surfaces of the jacket flange and the jacket valve have the same dimensions as those of the outer tube, installing them on the inner tube would result in errors regarding gaskets, bolts, and related blind plates in the 3D model. It’s not easy to draw the individual valve jackets on the outer tube; we draw them separately from the outer tube, depicting the valve as a separate element. Sometimes they are drawn on the inner tube, but in that case the gaskets and bolts have to be manually edited in the single-line diagram. I hope others can share better methods
I have no experience with jacketed flanges. In all the cases I encountered, the inner tube was exposed at the flange connection; therefore, the flange was designed to match the inner tube. For the inner and outer tube swap, there is a special component.
