What are the criteria for assessing the stress on supports and hangers, and what is the basis for these criteria?
There is no basis for concern; normal calculations generally yield no problems. If the load is too high, the route of the pipes or the position of the supports is usually adjusted to bring the load to a reasonable level, so generally there are no major issues.
The allowable stress strength for the bracket components is specified in standard GB17116. For specially designed brackets, it is necessary to evaluate the strength of their components, welds, and bolts. Generally, the allowable strength of pipeline support materials is set lower than their material properties, at around 0.8.
If standard supports and hangers are used, calculation is generally not required; calculation is necessary for non-standard ones.
