Why can’t holes in supports and hangers be cut with gas cutting? They must be drilled using an electric drill
How big is the hole? Did you cut it round? Is it worth ruining it to the point where it looks like a dog has chewed on it, only to fix it later?
Is it because of the large temperature changes during gas cutting, which result in thermal stress?
Oxyacetylene cutting is the last resort; it’s generally not the preferred method for drilling holes, for reasons you understand.
