I would like to ask the experts: how can Aspen Plus be used to simulate biological fermentation processes? Which module should be used, and how can it be simplified?
There isn’t one for biological fermentation modules; the process is complex.
May I ask what should be done in cases involving fermentation? Can a reactor be used as a simplification substitute? (Only indicate the equations involved to simplify complex biochemical reactions.)
The reactor is irreplaceable in the fermentation process, unless every reaction step in that process as well as the kinetic equations are known. Simulated separation of the fermented product can be carried out.
Thank you. I know some of the reaction equations and some of the kinetic equations, but not all of them. Can this be used to simplify things? How should the separation simulation be carried out? Please advise: handshake
Got it; it can be simplified and simulated using the corresponding reactor model.
