In Appendix C of JB4732, when calculating the alternating stress intensity amplitude, it is required to determine the maximum fluctuation range of the differences between the principal stresses throughout the entire stress cycle – how is this determined? For example, if the working pressure is between 3-7 Mpa, does it need to be calculated separately for 3 Mpa and 7 Mpa?
