How is sp3d being used these days?

As the title suggests, how is SP3D being used by domestic design firms these days? It is promoted as the most advanced 3D piping software, but it seems that PDMS is still the most widely used software among domestic users; SP3D isn’t seen in use very often.
PDMS is almost being phased out. The prospects look good.
