Ask about the difference between pressure and pressure drop. What exactly should be filled in the Pressure field?

As shown in the figure, for the same \"Pressure\" field, one indicates that pressure should be entered, while another suggests entering the outlet pressure or pressure drop. I’m confused – does the software intelligently determine whether I’ve entered pressure or pressure drop?
I think I understand now: if you only need to enter the pressure, you can fill it in arbitrarily; but if you need to enter the pressure drop, add a negative sign in front to indicate that what you’re entering is the pressure drop. Right, right? Everyone
What needs to be filled in are the operating conditions; it should be the pressure value, not the pressure drop value.
This post was last edited by yyszyj on 2020-10-23 08:46. The pressure value is a constant parameter, while the pressure drop value is a variable parameter. For example, a pressure drop from 1Mpa to 0.9Mpa is 0.1Mpa, while a pressure drop from 10Mpa to 9.9Mpa is also 0.1Mpa; these are not comparable at all. Therefore, only inputting the pressure value is meaningful, while inputting the pressure drop value is not. Of course, it’s understandable if the software you’re using requires exactly the pressure drop value to be entered.
There is a note indicating that a value greater than 0 represents the operating pressure, while a value less than or equal to 0 indicates the pressure drop.
