Should I write 100% here or the mass flow rate? There is no button to select a unit; does ASPEN identify it on its own? It says 0.5 in the picture, but I think it should be 50.
In ASPEN, the composition can be specified as 100% or as a mass flow rate. If there is no button to select a unit, you can add the corresponding unit after the number. ASPEN can generally automatically identify units, but if an error occurs, it can be corrected manually. Regarding the example you mentioned, if the value shown in the image is 0.5 and you think it should be 50, then you can write 50 according to your understanding. .
Okay, thank you. The older version of ASPEN allowed for unit selection. I’ve found the new version now; by default it’s set to 1, but it should be 0.5. In the textbook, some parts are 100 and some are 1.
