Colleagues, I would like to ask which software is suitable for simulating fully welded plate heat exchangers. In HTRI and EDR, the flow direction of plate heat exchangers is counterflow or co-flow, whereas that of fully welded plate heat exchangers is cross-flow; therefore, I think using plate heat exchanger modules for simulation is not appropriate. I earnestly request your valuable advice.
CFD software such as ANSYS Fluent can be considered for simulating fully welded plate heat exchangers, as these programs are capable of handling complex flow patterns such as cross-flow, and allow users to customize model parameters to suit the characteristics of fully welded plate heat exchangers. At the same time, you can also try to find some simulation software specifically designed for fully welded plate heat exchangers. .
