Hello everyone. When I use the HTRI economizer module for calculations, I find that the number of tube banks cannot exceed 98 – the maximum value is 98. Is there any good solution to this problem? This problem has troubled me for a long time
The economizer module of the HTRI software does indeed have a limit on the number of tube banks. If the actual number of tube banks you are dealing with exceeds this limit, you can consider the following solutions: 1. Divide the actual economizer into several sections, with each section having no more than 98 tube banks, and then perform simulation calculations for each section separately; 2. Try to contact HTRI’s technical support to ask if there are any updated versions or patches that can overcome this limitation ; 3. Look for other heat exchanger design software without such restrictions for calculations ; 4. Manually or using other calculation tools, estimate the heat exchange effect of the excess portion, and combine it with the HTRI results for analysis. In such cases, some alternative methods and engineering judgments may be needed to overcome software limitations. In practical engineering applications, attention must also be paid to the applicability and accuracy of the software results. .
There’s no software available; could it be due to the shell diameter you set?
Thank you all for your thoughtful answers; it really helped me understand
Where did you download your Chinese version of the software?
