Is it necessary to set the tray efficiency for the distillation column in HYSYS process simulation?

I am currently watching Sun Lanyi’s HYSYS process simulation tutorial. Why is it not necessary to set the tray efficiency in distillation column simulations? If it is necessary, how should an appropriate tray efficiency be determined (can the Drickamer-Bradford empirical formula be used as a reference)?

How can one set the board efficiency based on actual conditions, and what factors should be taken into account when determining an appropriate value for board efficiency? For example, if the actual number of theoretical plates is 40, the feed is at layer 15 ； When performing process simulation, I set it to 40 layers directly, with 15 layers for feeding, and used a default plate efficiency of 1 for the simulation ； Or should the plate efficiency value be continuously adjusted based on actual operation data and product purity?
