I have been working on the phthalic anhydride project recently. When designing a reboiler, the gas density of phthalic anhydride is required. The pressure of phthalic anhydride entering the reboiler is -0.07 MPa, and the temperature is 230 degrees. I would like to ask: who can use Aspen software to help me simulate and calculate the gas density under these conditions? Thank you so much! ! ! There is another question: is it possible to estimate the empirical heat intensity of phthalic anhydride using software? If not, are there any other methods? Thank you
Under the conditions you specified, phthalic anhydride is in a liquid state; therefore I can only calculate the density of a liquid, which is 1115.46 kg/m3. Is the temperature 230°C? I would also appreciate some guidance from those who are more experienced

Under the operating conditions of (-70 KPa, 230 degrees), the pressure of phthalic anhydride is negative. I checked the \"Handbook of Physical Properties for the Chemical Industry,\" which states that at an absolute pressure of 30 KPa, the density of liquid phthalic anhydride is 1115 kg/m3. At this absolute pressure, phthalic anhydride is in a vaporized state; therefore, there should also be a density for the gas phase. Why does the software simulation only show the density of the liquid? Also, did you use a flash tank to simulate it? I hope you can tell me the detailed method; thank you! ! !

Reply 3# cz_linan: Hey guy above, I didn’t use flash simulation; I just used a heater, and that’s the result I got – there is no gas phase. I might have misjudged the pressure. Your negative sign turned, I didn’t see it. I’ll try again.
