However, it becomes problematic when used for inorganic salt processing, as there are no models in the graphics library for equipment like centrifuges, filter presses, and drying beds; creating such models manually seems quite complicated. I wonder how others handle this? Is CADWorx simpler for creating device models? It is said that it’s possible to do so in a building-block-like manner – is that true? Also, I heard that the latest version of PDSoft 3DPiping is 2.8. What improvements are there compared to 2.5? Could you tell me? Thank you for the advice!
PDSoft also allows users to build new device models by using basic primitives in a brick-like manner; LZ might want to give it a try – it’s quite useful.
You can learn from the videos provided by the software vendor*. . Making the equipment isn’t too difficult. . . It should take half a day to learn it.
The same is true for Cadworx: it has pumps, towers, and horizontal tanks, but nothing else – not even vertical pumps. What is created using the basic modules doesn’t look right at all; there’s no choice but to use other software for modeling and then import the results
So, what kind of software-generated models can be imported into PDSoft? 3DMAX or……
It’s quite convenient to use CAD for creating complex models. The diagrams created with PDSoft can be opened in CAD, copied there, and then reopened in PDSoft. It’s complicated though; it’s not possible to add ducts directly using CAD – instead, a basic PDSoft model must be used at the places where ducts need to be installed. . . The stupid methods I’ve used
