On September 15, the pouring of the large-volume concrete for the foundation of the granulation tower, as part of the project to utilize coke oven gas for the production of 600,000 tons of synthetic ammonia and 400,000 tons of urea per year, was successfully completed. This project was carried out by the fourth branch of Shiliu Hua Jian. The volume of concrete to be poured in this batch is 2,600 m3. To ensure the smooth progress of this pouring operation, the project team organized the construction process in a scientific manner, and adopted measures such as optimizing the concrete mix ratio and installing circulating cooling pipes to guarantee the quality of the pouring of this large-volume concrete. After nearly 30 hours of continuous effort, the pouring work was successfully completed. The production capacities of the various products from the Coking Gas Comprehensive Utilization Project of Etoke Banner Jianyuan Coal Coking Co., Ltd. are as follows: 400,000 tons per year of LNG, 600,000 tons per year of synthetic ammonia, 400,000 tons per year of urea, and 2 million tons per year of NPK compound fertilizer. The project plans to install a atmospheric pressure gasification unit to produce low-cost coal gas at a rate of 360,000 m3/h. This gas will be used to replace the coke oven gas required for operation in Etoke Banner Jianyuan Coal Coking Company’s 2.8 million tons per year coking plant, as well as in the company’s comprehensive utilization projects related to coal coking/ coking operations (Coke ovens No. 5 and No. 6 and related facilities), at a rate of 116,000 m3/h. In total, all the coke oven gas produced, amounting to 228,000 m3/h, will be utilized comprehensively, with an additional 32,000 m3/h of coke oven gas being purchased from nearby coking plants. Thus, the total amount of coke oven gas used will be 260,000 m3/h. Taking advantage of the high methane and hydrogen content in coke oven gas, this gas is subjected to reforming, desulfurization, and decarburization, followed by cryogenic separation to produce LNG; part of the hydrogen-rich gas obtained from this LNG process is washed with liquid nitrogen before being used to synthesize ammonia ; Another portion is sent to the PSA hydrogen production unit for hydrogen purification. Synthesis of urea from liquid ammonia and carbon dioxide ; NPK compound fertilizer is produced using urea, monoammonium phosphate, potassium sulfate, and ammonium sulfate as raw materials, through a drum granulation process.
