During the previous period of full-load operation, as the organic sulfur hydrolyzer was approaching the end of its useful life, its efficiency in removing H2S and COS was poor, which resulted in frequent exceedances of the total sulfur content in the purified gas at the V2213 outlet in the subsequent processing stages. This affected the safe and efficient operation of the plant. The replacement of the desulfurization agent will fundamentally eliminate safety hazards, laying a solid foundation for the safe operation of the methanol plant in the future.
