On April 19, the construction of the civil structure for the Henan Jin Kai Yanhua project, carried out by Sinochem Ninth Construction Group’s Central Plains branch, was completed, and the project entered the intensive installation phase. Since work began in January, the project team of Sinochem 9th Construction Group’s Central Plains branch has focused heavily on keeping things on schedule, working backwards from the deadline to arrange construction tasks properly. They developed practical construction plans and overcame various challenges such as incomplete design drawings, limited construction space, and dusty weather conditions. By strictly adhering to the scheduled timelines, they ensured construction quality and guaranteed the safe progress of the project. At present, the main body of the ammonia synthesis tower for the ammonia synthesis unit in this project, the foundations for the external equipment associated with ammonia synthesis, the framework at the 9-meter level of the compression plant, and the foundations for the ammonia synthesis gas compressors and ammonia chillers have all been completed. The stationary equipment is being installed one after another, and the key civil engineering tasks were finished 20 days ahead of the original schedule, thereby laying a solid foundation for the subsequent installation work. The old plant of Henan Jinkai Group Yanhua Chemical Co., Ltd. is located in Xiguan, Yanjin County, Henan Province, and has an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons of ammonia. In accordance with relevant safety and environmental protection regulations as well as urban development plans, authorities at the provincial, municipal, and county levels required the relocation and renovation of this old plant. As a result, the old plant of Yanhua Chemical Company ceased operations in April 2019. A project to relocate facilities for the annual production of 600,000 tons of amino alcohol and related products is currently under construction (referred to as the “60·80 Project”). Upon completion of the 60˙80 project, with an ammonia production capacity of 500,000 tons and a methanol production capacity of 100,000 tons, it will be possible to save 16,763 tons of standard coal per year compared to the production levels of older plants of similar scale, thereby reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 44,000 tons per year.
