At the beginning of the week, most parties adopted a wait-and-see attitude. The market price of methanol in the Qinghai region is currently unavailable. Due to gas supply restrictions during winter, all the major gas-based production facilities in this region are shut down for maintenance, with production expected to resume in March 2021. The methanol market in Henan is operating in an orderly manner, with solid actual transactions taking place. The selling price of Henan Zhongxin for bidding purposes increased by 15 yuan per ton compared to January 6th; the final transaction price was 2245–2250 yuan per ton. The quotes from other companies remained stable, with the actual ex-factory price ranging between 2230–2250 yuan per ton ； The quoted price in the Luoyang market is around 2,230–2,250 yuan per ton. The methanol market in the Two Lakes region remains stable for now; at the start of the week, there was plenty of buying interest but caution prevailed, and actual transaction negotiations were limited. Hubei-based enterprises offer stable prices; the actual ex-plant price is around 2,450 yuan per ton ； Trading in the Hunan market is sluggish, with quotes ranging around 2560–2620 yuan per ton. Negotiations in the methanol market in Fujian are sluggish; there are few spot offers from the main storage areas in Quanzhou and Xiamen. The reference price is around 2600 yuan per ton, including taxes, and the overall trading atmosphere in the market is poor.
