On October 23, 2023, the Coal Chemicals Division of Jinneng Holding Equipment Manufacturing Group entrusted the Jincheng Chemical Industry Association to organize an expert team to conduct a research visit and discussion at Xinhengsheng Company. Taking into account factors such as new personnel, new processes, and new equipment in the company, and fully considering the transition from the construction phase to trial production in the next step, the expert group members held technical exchanges focused on the \"safety review prior to the commissioning of chemical plants\". It emphasizes the importance of safety reviews prior to the commissioning of chemical processing units, and systematically discusses how to examine and verify all relevant factors in aspects such as design, selection, procurement, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning in order to control risks and ensure process safety, equipment safety, and operational safety from the root level, thereby providing a high-quality safety assurance plan for the company’s subsequent commissioning efforts. The project is located in the Economic and Technological Development Zone of Xinyi City, Jiangsu Province, and is a key construction project at both the Xuzhou city level and the Xinyi county level. In the first phase of the project, Shaohang Maiwei gasifiers and a fluidized bed pressurized continuous gasification process are employed, enabling an annual production capacity of 400,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, 600,000 tons of urea, and 33,800 tons of concentrated sulfuric acid. Once completed and put into operation, this project will greatly contribute to the healthy development of the industrial chains in Xuzhou City and Xinyi City, and it will also play a significant role in promoting the high-quality economic development of the surrounding areas. Jiangsu Jinkong Xinhengsheng’s planned project is set to achieve mechanical completion in October. The first phase of Jiangsu Jinmei Hengsheng’s relocation and technological upgrade project includes facilities for producing 400,000 tons of synthetic ammonia and 600,000 tons of urea per year. For these operations, gasification furnaces from Aerospace Maiwei, ShuaShuo shift reactors, low-temperature methanol washing, liquid nitrogen washing, Casali ammonia synthesis processes, and Keyang sulfur recovery systems are employed, enabling an annual production capacity of 400,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, 600,000 tons of urea, and 47,800 tons of concentrated sulfuric acid. Project Overview: The expansion and upgrading project of Jiangsu Jinkong Equipment Xinhengsheng Chemical Co., Ltd., which aims to increase production capacity to 400,000 tons of synthetic ammonia and 600,000 tons of urea per year, utilizes advanced technologies such as Aerospace Maiwei’s semi-waste boiler gasification technology, Huashuo shift reaction, Dalian University of Technology’s low-temperature methanol washing process, Zhongtai’s liquid nitrogen washing method, Cassali’s ammonia synthesis process, and Keyang’s sulfur recovery technique. In the first phase, the plant will have a production capacity of 400,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, 600,000 tons of urea, and 47,800 tons of concentrated sulfuric acid. The project is located in the Suhua area of Xinyi City’s chemical industry cluster, with a total investment of 4.978 billion yuan. In its first phase, it will produce 400,000 tons of synthetic ammonia and 600,000 tons of urea per year (including 600,000 tons of urea-based compound fertilizers), as well as 47,800 tons of concentrated sulfuric acid ； Phase 2 will have an annual production capacity of 200,000 tons of ethylene glycol, with by-products including 150,000 tons of methanol, 6,700 tons of dimethyl carbonate, and 17,600 tons of mixed polyols.
