According to Shanxi Tianze Coal Chemical Industry, in 2025, Tianze Coal Chemical Industry produced a total of 1.511 million tons of synthetic ammonia, achieving 100.7% of its annual target; A total of 2.5857 million tons of urea was produced, achieving 103.5% of the annual target. The total industrial output value reached 4.51 billion yuan, fulfilling 112.8% of the annual target. Sales revenue reached 4.53 billion yuan, fulfilling 113.3% of the annual target. A profit of 203 million yuan was achieved, accounting for 203.0% of the annual target. In 2024, Tianze Coal Chemical produced 1.471 million tons of ammonia and 2.411 million tons of urea. By 2025, Tianze Coal Chemical will vigorously carry out various improvement and technological upgrading projects, including the recovery of flash vapor from two factories, upgrades to wastewater treatment systems, energy-saving modifications for urea production, boiler upgrades, automation improvements for NH compressors, and RTO waste gas treatment at Yongfeng Company. These efforts are aimed at ensuring the safe and stable operation of all companies within the group while meeting environmental standards, and at maintaining leading positions in terms of energy efficiency and production costs. The upgrade project for pure oxygen oxidation at Yongfeng Fertilizer Company of Tianze Group (involving the construction of 12 new φ3600 pure oxygen oxidation furnaces, with 10 in operation and 2 as backups) was completed and put into operation in July 2024. Tianze Group’s gasification plant completed its upgrade to pure oxygen gasification in November 2025, with all 36 DN3000 pure oxygen continuous gas generation furnaces put into operation. Thus, the fixed-bed batch gas generator was completely phased out of Tianze’s history. Shanxi Tianze Coal Chemical Group Co., Ltd. has two manufacturing facilities: a gasification plant and Yongfeng Fertilizer Company. Yongfeng Fertilizer was formed by the merger of a chemical plant and Yongfeng Fertilizer Company. On November 18, 2025, all 16 new pure-oxygen continuous gasification furnaces installed as part of the gasification upgrade project at the coal gasification plant of Shanxi Tianze Coal Chemical Group Co., Ltd. were put into operation, producing qualified water gas that was fed into the production system, thereby achieving a successful and safe commissioning on the first attempt. The company invested over 2 billion yuan to take the lead in carrying out a full-scale upgrade of the pure oxygen oxidation process among all coal chemical enterprises in the city. Shanxi Tianze Gasification Plant uses fixed-bed gas generation to produce synthetic ammonia, urea, and methanol. The coal gasification plant plans to install 36 new DN3000 pure oxygen continuous gas generation furnaces to replace the existing atmospheric pressure fixed-bed gas generation furnaces. Two new air separation units will be installed, and the plant’s purification, compression, and auxiliary systems will undergo appropriate upgrades and modifications. In July 2024, the gasification upgrade project at Yongfeng Company was completed and put into operation after 1 year and 3 months of work; the fixed-bed batch gas generator ceased to be used at Yongfeng Company ; In October 2014, 4 new pure oxygen gasification furnaces at the gasification plant were built and put into operation ; In April 2025, 12 newly built pure oxygen gasifiers at the coal gasification plant were put into operation successively; the fixed-bed batch gas generators were then phased out from the production process at the West Plant ; In November 2025, 16 newly built pure oxygen gasifiers at the coal gasification plant were completed and put into operation. The total investment for this project is 950 million yuan. It involves the construction of 36 DN3000 pure-oxygen continuous gasification furnaces within the gasification plant of Shanxi Tianze Coal Chemical Group Co., Ltd.; the installation of 2 new air separation units; the replacement and upgrading of the existing 60 atmospheric-pressure fixed-bed gasification furnaces; as well as adaptive upgrades to the plant’s purification, compression, and auxiliary systems. Completion and commissioning of all these tasks are expected by 2025. The fixed-bed intermittent gas generators have completely been phased out from the production processes of the coal gasification plant. This also marks that all 100 fixed-bed intermittent gas generators have officially become a thing of the past at Tianze Group! The new equipment significantly improves production efficiency, offers better safety and stability in operation, reduces coal consumption significantly, and cuts pollutant emissions substantially, thereby enhancing the company’s competitive strength in the market. Previously, Hangyang announced its intention to invest in establishing a wholly-owned subsidiary, Jincheng Hangyang Gas Co., Ltd. This subsidiary will be responsible for building two new air separation units with a capacity of 32,000 Nm3/h each, as well as one new unit with a capacity of 34,200 Nm3/h. These units will supply the industrial gas products needed for the gasification upgrade projects of Shanxi Tianze Coal Chemical Group Co., Ltd.’s gasification plant, which is a subsidiary of the aforementioned company, as well as for the gasification upgrade project of Shanxi Tianze Group Yongfeng Fertilizer Co., Ltd., another subsidiary of Shanxi Tianze Group.
