News regarding Yunnan Dawa Ammonia Production: On February 5, 2026, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the list of **-grade green factories for the year 2025, and Yunnan Yuntianhua Dawa Ammonia Production Co., Ltd. was successfully included on this list. Yunnan Yuntianhua Dahu for Ammonia Production, in collaboration with universities and enterprises such as East China University of Science and Technology and Huawei, successfully put into operation in 2024 the world’s first intelligent gasification unit that integrates artificial intelligence (AI) and real-time optimization (RTO) technologies, thereby equipping traditional coal chemical plants with a \"smart brain\". According to Yunnan State-owned Assets, by 2025, the APC upgrades for units such as Dawa ammonia production boilers, air separation systems, sulfur recovery systems, demineralized water production systems, and urea production plants will be completed and accepted one after another. Over the past three years, the company has invested more than 200 million yuan in implementing green and low-carbon technology upgrades, covering key production processes such as gasification, boilers, air separation, and urea production. Through key technological innovations such as optimization of gasification processes, treatment of exhaust gases, hierarchical utilization of waste heat, and comprehensive utilization of ash and slag, efficient energy use, resource recycling, and thorough treatment of pollutants are promoted in a coordinated manner. At present, the comprehensive energy consumption per unit of synthetic ammonia produced by the company has been reduced to 1,337.49 kilograms of standard coal per ton, while the comprehensive energy consumption per unit of urea produced is 129.76 kilograms of standard coal per ton. Both figures are below the **energy efficiency benchmarks, resulting in improved economic and environmental benefits. Yunnan Dawa Ammonia Production has one set of ammonia production facilities using Shell’s powder gasification technology (500,000 tons of liquid ammonia per year, 10,000 tons of sulfur per year, 53,000 tons of ammonium sulfate per year), a urea production facility (350,000 tons of urea per year), and one set of caustic soda production facilities (180,000 tons of soda ash per year, 180,000 tons of ammonium chloride per year). To integrate surrounding resources and increase ammonia synthesis output, Yunnan Dawa Ammonia Production has adopted hydrogen and vent gas, among other by-products, from Qujing Coking Gas Production Co., Ltd.
