Guangxi Chuanhua Tianhe Potash Fertilizer Company plans to change the fuel used in the molten salt furnace of the melamine production plant from natural gas to biomass combined with a small amount of coal. The production process of melamine requires high operating loads during the first half of the cycle, and since biomass has a low calorific value, it is not sufficient to meet the high load requirements of melamine production； The operating load is slightly lower in the second half of the cycle, and biomass can meet the demand). After the implementation of the project, the company can reduce its annual carbon dioxide emissions by 53,082.63 tons. In March 2026, the Beihai Municipal Government website issued a tender notice for seeking services to evaluate the energy-saving report related to the energy-saving and carbon-reduction renovation project for the melamine production furnace at Guangxi Chuanhua Tianhe Potash Fertilizer Co., Ltd. The production of melamine at Guangxi Chuanhua Tianhe uses urea as raw material and a gas-phase quenching process. The 50,000 tons/year melamine plant was put into operation in May 2021.
