Are the hydrometer, Baume specific gravity meter, and glass float all related to each other?

The hydrometer is easy to understand, and the Baume scale is also easy to understand. There’s a device whose jacket reads either “hydrometer” or “Baume scale” – is it actually a hydrometer or a Baume scale?
We sometimes call a pycnometer a densimeter; I haven’t really paid attention to whether they are the same thing or twins – waiting for an expert to answer.
You can use your hydrometer to measure a medium, and then use it again for testing; if the results are the same, it functions as a densitometer. However, there are too many such devices available on the market at present, with no standardization, and numerous different names and types
