1. Does it generally be necessary to calculate the volume of breathing exhaust gas for sulfuric acid storage tanks? 2. If calculations are required: The factory plans to install 2 storage tanks for concentrated sulfuric acid, one indoors and one outdoors, with the outdoor tank serving as a backup. Is it necessary to calculate the waste gas volume for both tanks, including the backup one as well?
I’ve never heard of this; concentrated sulfuric acid doesn’t produce any exhaust gases either. It’s possible that fuming sulfuric acid does produce such gases.
A breathing tube must definitely be installed; unless it is stored for too long, meaning the acid does not absorb too much water from the air and get diluted, no waste gas will be produced
