How is the concentration unit formality calculated?

I would like to ask how the concentration unit called formality is calculated. When reviewing literature, I find that the unit f is often used in previous studies. There are volume formality and weight formality, but I’m not sure how to calculate them exactly. I hope those who know can help me

Formality, or formalities, as can be inferred from its meaning in English, is derived from the word \"form\"; therefore, I understand that formality here refers to the form of expression – that is, the concentration of a component can be expressed in terms of weight ratio or volume ratio. The previous “were” was expressed as, which should have clearly conveyed the meaning of formality.
