For those who are experts: I am just starting out with wet flue gas desulfurization, and there is a concept called the number of reaction units that I find difficult to understand. How exactly should one interpret the number of reaction units?
The number of reaction units can be understood as a value that unifies different influencing factors; for example, the pH value is converted into a single figure such as 0.8, and the number of spray layers, 1 layer, is converted to 0.6. The sum of these values gives the total number of units. This number corresponds to an efficiency value – for instance, 2.5 corresponds to 95% efficiency
