The gas streams from the company’s mixing system are connected together and eventually reach a water seal tank. The outlet of this tank leads to the exhaust gas system. What is the function of the water seal tank? Why can it prevent pressure from escaping? And why is the water supply valve for this tank closed during the mixing process?
Check the liquid level in the water seal tank and calculate the pressure
A water seal tank can be considered a safety valve that ensures no leakage of the medium within the allowable pressure range (water acts as a barrier); if the pressure exceeds this range, the medium breaks through the water seal and is released to the subsequent processing stages. The function of the water replenishment valve is to add water when the level of the water seal liquid falls below a certain height (the water level corresponds to a specific pressure value)
A water-sealed tank, as the name suggests, uses water as the sealing medium; its function is to achieve system sealing through the pressure generated by the water level. The sealing pressure is determined by the water level height. Turn off the water supply valve during batching; I assume this is to prevent pressure fluctuations in the system caused by water addition from affecting the accuracy of batching.
