The completion of the substation in the crude oil storage area of Donghua Company’s 10 million tons per year refinery project at the Lobito **Oil Company in Angola has been achieved successfully, marking an important milestone in the civil construction work in this area and laying a solid foundation for the subsequent mechanical and electrical installations. The substation in the crude oil tank farm is a two-story concrete frame structure with a building height of 9.4 meters, an area of 1,045.7 square meters, and a total construction area of 1,341 square meters. When the erection height of the two-layer formwork support system exceeds 5 meters, it constitutes a construction task with high risk, requiring stringent standards in terms of construction safety and organizational management. Faced with challenges such as tight deadlines and limited resources, the project team worked together with the construction contractors to optimize the schedule, breaking it down into weekly plans and daily milestones that were assigned to each construction team. By deploying additional workers for shift rotations and increasing the use of mechanical equipment, efforts were made to ensure that these milestones were met.
