I have a question for the teachers: Can oil blending operations be carried out at oil depots?
Sure, in some cases it’s mixed right inside the pipes, while in other cases various ingredients are poured into a tank and then mixed through circulation.
In our oil storage facility, various raw materials are poured into a tank, and then mixed through circulation. But our company’s safety and environmental department says that blending operations cannot be carried out at oil depots. I checked the design code for oil depots, GB50074-2014, and it does not mention whether blending operations are permitted or not.
Then don’t adjust it; see if your supervisor will look for him: lol. If the oil isn’t adjusted, how can there be any improvement in efficiency? If adjustments can’t be made at the tank area, then where else can they be made?
The safety and environmental department states that if there are oil transfer operations, it is considered part of the production facilities, and therefore the various safety distances cannot be determined in accordance with the \"Design Code for Oil Depots\" GB50074-2014; instead, they must be determined in line with the \"Fire Protection Design Code for Petrochemical Enterprises\" GB50106-2008 (2018 edition). Is oil blending a production operation?
It is not needed in the finished product warehouse; if any exists, it is only a small amount of mixed oil that is separated and then blended into oil of the same or similar grade. But as a mere storage facility, some component oils may need to be blended.
