On December 9, Global Middle East Company signed a contract for the PMC Call-off project related to the national storage facility and the new methanol production project at the headquarters of Oman Oil Company in Muscat, the capital of Oman, worth 2 million US dollars. Since the beginning of this year, Global Middle East has made continuous efforts to expand its presence in the Oman market, focusing on high-value-added service projects in downstream sectors. Following its collaboration with Global East China to win the comprehensive design service project for the Duqm refinery in Oman, the company won another contract for a project in Oman. Oman Oil Company (OQ S.A.O.C.) is the largest oil and gas company in Oman, as well as one of the key NOCs in the Middle East. Oman has smaller oil and gas resources compared to other countries in the Middle East, but it enjoys a favorable geographical location. It is situated at the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz, an important route for oil and gas transportation worldwide. Its foreign trade can reach consumer markets in the surrounding regions, serving a population of 1.6 billion people; it can extend to Iran in the northeast, to the Gulf countries and other Middle Eastern nations in the northwest, and to the countries along the African Indian Ocean coast in the southwest. To ensure energy security and strengthen Oman’s position in the global energy supply chain, Oman Oil Company plans to build a series of downstream projects in the Musandam, Salalah, and Ras Al Makaz regions, including strategic reserve facilities, methanol plants, and associated pipelines. It is seeking PMC service providers worldwide to provide professional services for these projects. Global Middle East Company began following up on this project in April, and in order to meet the bidding requirements, it maintained active contact with local engineering firms in Oman. Eventually, Rock International Group was chosen to form a consortium for the bid; the technical documents were prepared to a high standard within the limited bidding time, and these documents were combined with those submitted by Rock before being submitted on June 7th. After several rounds of technical clarifications following the bidding process, it succeeded in advancing to the commercial bidding stage; on November 18, it received notification that it had won the bid for this project. Over the past three years, Global Middle East Company has focused on developing its market by offering project management consulting and design services as its core products, while strengthening its presence in Iraq and simultaneously making significant efforts to expand into other countries in the region. In this bidding process, Global Middle East Company competed alongside numerous international engineering firms and won the bid, further enhancing its brand recognition and laying a solid foundation for future development in the Oman market.
