At the end of November 2019, the more than 1,300-ton device module for the SRU unit in Area C of Singapore’s Linde gasification upgrade project, constructed by a Chinese company, was successfully installed in place. To date, all 47 large-scale pipe tunnels and equipment modules at the site have been installed. The Singapore Linde gasification upgrade project is located on Jurong Island in Singapore. Once completed, it will be able to supply hydrogen, carbon monoxide, and syngas to other industrial enterprises on the island, thereby helping to alleviate the shortage of gas for industrial use there. As one of Linde’s largest expansion projects worldwide, this project involves a total of 47 large modules, with a combined weight of 33,747 tons. The construction site is limited in size, transportation is difficult, and there is a tight deadline for installing the various components. An advanced modular installation approach is adopted on site to optimize construction organization, reduce labor intensity, and enhance overall safety.
