On August 1, 2024, the first phase of the project carried out by Bayannur Guanjie New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., which involves the production of 1 million tons of carbon-silicon-based new materials per year as well as the synthesis of 2 million tons of methanol from exhaust gases, was registered. The total investment for this project in Bayannur, Inner Mongolia, is 3 billion yuan. Project Name: Annual production of 1 million tons of carbon-silicon-based new materials and synthesis of 2 million tons of methanol from exhaust gas (Phase I)Project Developer: Bayannur Guanjie New Energy Technology Co., Ltd.
Project Investment: 3 billion yuan, of which 1 billion yuan is in the form of own funds, while 2 billion yuan will be obtained through bank loans.
Location: Bayannur City, Inner Mongolia – Wulat Middle Banner – within the Ganqimaodu Port Processing Park, to the south of Zhongaxi Road, to the east of Jingwu Road, to the north of S215 Road (Park Weisi Road), and to the west of Jingliu Road.
Land Area: Approximately 3,000 mu.
Project Construction Scope: The project will be built in three phases. The first phase covers an area of 1,024 mu, with a total construction area of 470,000 square meters. The main buildings include office spaces, production workshops, storage facilities, raw material warehouses, and finished product warehouses. Additional infrastructure such as logistics transfer stations and roads for entering and leaving the facility are also included ; Construct a production line capable of manufacturing 300,000 tons of carbon-silicon-based new materials per year and producing 500,000 tons of methanol from exhaust gases (including facilities such as multi-functional multi-core vacuum smelting furnaces), as well as devices for recycling by-products such as sulfur; simultaneously build production lines for calcining petroleum coke and for purifying quartz raw materials ; Main processes: Using silica and petroleum coke as primary raw materials, a \"multi-functional vacuum smelting furnace\" is employed to produce semiconductor-grade carbon-silicon-based new materials. The off-gases generated during the production process are then used as raw material to manufacture methanol. The nominal production capacity for these carbon-silicon-based new materials is 300,000 tons per year, while the nominal production capacity for methanol produced from these off-gases (after purification) is 500,000 tons per year. By-products include sulfur and fusel oils. The Ganqimaodu Port Processing Park in Inner Mongolia is located in Wulat Middle Banner, Bayannur City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. This area is rich in new energy sources, energy and strategic resources, as well as high-quality green agricultural and livestock products, making it an important bridgehead for opening up to the north. It is reported that currently, this region is focusing on \"processing\" and \"manufacturing\" as its industrial priorities, and is accelerating the development of \"nine key industrial chains\" centered on coal chemical industry, silicon-based new materials, lithium battery materials, new chemical materials, graphite-based new materials, metallurgical new materials, green building materials, new energy equipment manufacturing, and energy storage. At the same time, efforts are being made to foster \"three industrial clusters worth hundreds of billions of yuan\" in the fields of new energy, new materials, and advanced coal chemical technology. Bayannur Guanjie New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was established on July 15, 2024. It is located in Room -1 of the Ganqimaodu Port Processing Park, Delingshan Town, Wulat Middle Banner, Bayannur City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Its business scope includes the manufacturing of non-metallic mineral products and the sales of such products.
