Review of the foundation design for Phase 1 of the epoxy resin integrated project at Shaanxi Yueneng New Materials Co., Ltd

From May 26th to 27th, the review meeting for the basic design of Phase 1 of the epoxy resin integrated project at Shaanxi Yueneng New Materials Co., Ltd. was held in Yulin. At the meeting, the expert group listened to a report from the design institute on the progress of the project’s preliminary design. Through methods such as reviewing documents, conducting group assessments, and asking questions on-site, they examined various aspects of the design, including processes, equipment, safety measures, fire protection, and cost estimates, and provided suggestions for improvement. After research and discussion, it was unanimously agreed that the basic design documents for this project generally meet the design requirements and specifications outlined in the \"Regulations on the Design Content for Foundations of Petrochemical Plants\" (SPMP-STD-EM2003-2016). The meeting required that all design firms fully incorporate the suggestions and recommendations put forward by the expert group, and promptly optimize and refine the design plans. This is to ensure that the design outcomes not only meet the latest industry standards and regulations but also satisfy the actual needs of the project, thereby enhancing the device’s resilience to risks and providing a solid and reliable foundation for the project to operate in a stable, efficient, and high-quality manner ； The project owner must assume its primary responsibilities and advance the project construction in an efficient and steady manner, striving to turn it into a high-quality, model, and benchmark project that is safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly. Relevant departments of Yueneng Group, Shaanxi Yueneng New Energy Materials Co., Ltd., and relevant personnel from various partner organizations attended the meeting. The epoxy resin integrated project of Shaanxi Yueneng New Materials Co., Ltd. is located in the High-Tech Industrial Development Zone of Shenmu City, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province. The construction scope includes a 800,000-ton/year methanol-to-propylene complex, a 100,000-ton/year chloropropene plant, a 100,000-ton/year epichlorohydrin facility, a 200,000-ton/year hydrogen peroxide plant, a 300,000-ton/year isopropylbenzene plant, a 350,000-ton/year phenol plant, a 240,000-ton/year bisphenol A plant, a 250,000-ton/year epoxy resin plant, a 100,000-ton/year waste salt utilization facility, a 100,000-ton/year polyolefin elastomer plant, a 50,000-ton/year EPDM rubber plant, as well as associated utility and auxiliary systems.
