Recently, China National Chemical Corporation Tianchen signed a FEED design contract for methanol-to-ammonia-urea production with BUA Chemical Company in Nigeria. This project represents an important milestone in the chemical industry cooperation between China and Nepal. The signing of the FEED contract marks the transition of the project from the preliminary planning stage to the actual implementation phase. It is also a concrete step taken by China National Chemical Corporation to implement the Belt and Road Initiative, to create \"three key platforms and one prestigious brand\", and to promote the production of clean energy in Africa. By making full use of the abundant local natural gas resources, and employing mature technologies for natural gas conversion, methanol synthesis, as well as ammonia and urea production, this project will construct facilities for converting natural gas into methanol, ammonia, and urea. This approach will effectively reduce the costs associated with raw material procurement and transportation, thereby significantly improving the economic viability of the project. Upon completion, the project will not only create numerous job opportunities in Nigeria, increase tax revenues, and promote industrial upgrading, but it will also deepen cooperation between the two countries in the areas of infrastructure and energy resources, thereby contributing to the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative in Africa. It is understood that in the next step, Tianchen Company will leverage its engineering experience, digital development capabilities, and expertise in full-chain management to help enhance the influence of the \"China Chemical\" brand in international markets.
