If a Class A liquid is used within a certain device or facility, does that mean the fire hazard associated with that device or facility is classified as Class A? If it cannot be determined in this way, then how should the fire hazard classification of the facility or plant be determined step by step?

For factory buildings, the construction regulations apply, and these vary depending on the amount of Class A liquids used and stored
Chemical plant buildings rarely fall below this standard, so they are basically all classified as Category A: lol
Whether it belongs to Category A depends on the amount and scope of use of the Category A liquid; a specific assessment is required. It is clearly stated in Code for Building Design 3.1.2 and its explanatory notes.
Generally, the main process fluid is of Category A; you can’t get away from that in this case

Use area size? Building codes refer to the area of the production section, and there is some confusion regarding how to determine this. For example, if a reactor is used to handle Class A materials, and it is considered a Class A device, does the production area refer to the projected area of the reactor itself, or does it include the areas required for operations and maintenance around it?
