For storage tanks of flammable liquids, tanks located within fire dikes are required to have their own separate dike. When a partition dike is used, it is sufficient that the volume within it be greater than 10% of the tank’s volume; are there any other requirements regarding the distance?
There is no specific requirement regarding distance, but it is necessary to take into account the location of pipes, cable trays, etc., in order to avoid conflicts, or to plan how the pipes will be arranged within the central dike from the outset.

There is no requirement for a safety distance from the storage tank to the dike, but sufficient space for maintenance must be provided. There are no distance requirements for tanks and dikes. However, due to the distance requirements between the tanks, if the dike is placed in the center, there should be a certain distance between them. If the tank is relatively small and the distance is too close, I think there should be at least an 800 mm clearance between the tank and the dike for operation, maintenance, and evacuation purposes.
