Low-temperature level gauge

Several level gauges used for measuring the level of low-temperature methanol and propylene in my company tend to break easily. Are there any particular considerations when using level gauges for low-temperature liquids? I think it’s a matter of proper selection; I would appreciate some guidance on this topic
Is it a local level gauge or a remote one? For level gauges used on-site, those with magnetic flip disks are preferable; for those used for remote monitoring, double-flange or float-type gauges can be used.
Those with remote transmission provide relatively accurate readings, while those used on-site show no consistent pattern; there are very few reliable low-temperature level gauges available
