A portion of the vent gas coming out of the alcohol separator is sent to the pipeline network as fuel gas. When there is a high demand for fuel gas, it is necessary to increase the amount of vent gas, which leads to a drop in pressure within the synthesis loop. As an alternative, fresh coal gas can also be used to supply fuel gas as a supplement. Which method do experts recommend to achieve higher production levels?

In short, use as little as possible; it’s definitely better to release the air. Using fresh air is rather wasteful. Relaxing and venting can also remove some unwanted gases, which is beneficial for synthesis
