Since the materials react with CO2, it was decided to protect the reaction vessel with an inert gas, and nitrogen was chosen for this purpose. So how exactly is this to be achieved? Suppose we first use a water seal, then introduce nitrogen to expel the water, and finally seal it off. Insert the required materials again? Is it feasible? I also thought that if gas protection is used, high requirements are placed on the process integrity, as well as on pressure levels. I’m just starting to work with process design and have no practical experience; are there any good suggestions I can follow?
Can nitrogen drainage be completely emptied? Do water and the material react?
This cannot be based on imagination; it must be done in accordance with the process operation instructions

If possible, use vacuum replacement; when water is involved, check whether it reacts with the reaction materials
Displace with nitrogen to dry the gas inside the equipment
The standard procedure usually involves evacuating the system, then filling it with nitrogen to normal pressure for displacement; after 2-3 repetitions, the oxygen content is checked, and once it meets the requirements, the feeding process can begin. Nitrogen is also introduced continuously during the feeding process, and the slightly positive nitrogen pressure inside the tank is maintained by controlling the nitrogen control valve and the amount of nitrogen fed in. These are all basic common senses for operating reaction kettles.
