Who knows about large motors – why is circulating water and air used, and what is their specific function?
For cooling the windings with circulating water, do you mean isolation air? Generally, a slight positive pressure is used to prevent combustible gases from entering; it’s understandable what happens when such gases come into contact with sparks

This cooling principle is generated by the motor; an axial flow fan built into the rotor (with its own blades) is used to circulate air, carrying the heat generated to the water cooler, where the water removes that heat. The cooling tower then dissipates the heat from the water into the atmosphere. After the water’s temperature drops, it exchanges heat with the air in the motor cooler, and once the air has cooled down, it helps to cool the heat generated by the motor itself, thanks to the fan (also built into the motor). . . . . . Since water cannot directly cool the motor, this is usually the case; individual water-cooled motors are not included in this category. Heheh, such a complicated principle. For reference.
