I would like to ask everyone about the rules for installing metal flexible hoses near the inlet and outlet nozzles of chemical storage tanks, in order to provide earthquake resistance and prevent settlement of the tank foundation. There are two questions: 1. Starting from what volume of tank does it become necessary to install metal flexible hoses? 2. For the pipes connected to this tank, starting from what pipe diameter is it necessary to install metal hoses? No relevant specifications were found online; please help. The decisive factor is the settlement amount (which is related to geological conditions). Once the settlement amount is known and the pipe diameter is determined, the corresponding length can be obtained from the supplier.

It seems that the use of metal hoses is no longer recommended these days; flexible connections are advised to be used during piping.

For special components such as safety valves, steam traps, metal hoses, and flame arrestors, it is the process engineering department that prepares the purchase request forms, as many of the details in these forms relate to process parameters.
