Since there can be a significant difference between the flash point of the oil in the diesel storage tank and that of the oil sampled at the plant’s sampling points, a sampling pipe is installed at the connection valve (DN80 valve) on the line from the plant to the tank area. By modifying the process flow, it is possible to take samples of only diesel fuel, regular diesel fuel, or a mixture of modified diesel fuels separately on the line leading to the tank area (see the flow diagram during sampling and the simplified process flow diagram near the sampling points). The inner diameter of the sampling port is 3 mm (see the view below the sampling port), which facilitates easy control of the oil output rate. After sampling, normally remove the end of the sampling tube and install a thread plug to prevent oil leakage. Please, experts, take a look and see if there are any issues.

That’s how it should be. It was installed after it was discovered during operation that there was a large difference between the flash points of samples taken from the device and those taken from the tank area; it always seemed awkward.
Add a 1-inch ball valve, dual valves
Installing double valves or plugs can easily lead to pressure buildup; it is best to use a sealed sampler, which allows nitrogen to be used for cleaning after sampling, thereby minimizing risks.
It would be better to add a needle valve to the short tube for better control! A gate valve will do!
Using a DN80 gate valve to control sampling certainly seems awkward, and over time such valves are prone to internal leakage.
That large valve controls the sampling port with such a small diameter. .
