Discussion on the salt content criteria for feedwater quality in once-through boilers and DC boilers

GB 1576-2008 specifies the requirements for the water quality of feedwater in once-through boilers and flow-through boilers. Regarding the indicator for dissolved solids, for flow-through boilers, the value refers to the quality of the boiler water, with dissolved solids at or below 2500–3000 mg/L; whereas for once-through boilers, it refers to the quality of the feedwater, with dissolved solids at or below 2500–3500 mg/L. These values are similar to those applicable to conventional drum boilers. But in the case of these boilers, where the water passes through once and is then vaporized, won’t such high levels of salts in the feedwater cause scaling on the heat exchange tubes? I really don’t understand this; please give me some guidance.
Most of it will be carried away by the steam, with very little remaining on the inner wall of the tube. It’s not far enough to reach a level of scaling, unless the dissolved substances in your water exceed the specified levels.
