In the diagram, the control valve is the cooling control valve for the process system; it is located at the entrance to the stairs, at a height of just over 2 meters. The control valve is located at the bottom of the U-shaped bend. Question: 1. Does such a location affect the fire exit? Is it in compliance with the standards? 2. Should a U-bend be installed on the process vent line? Will there be fluid accumulation? Doesn’t it violate the standards?
Personally, it seems like the fire exit passages aren’t affected. However, as a relief valve, an U-shaped bend will result in water accumulation. Additionally, no control circuit was visible for the control valve; so what should be done if that control valve fails?
2 meters should not affect the passage, and the U-shaped drain valve should have little impact
The U-shaped bend may be intended to facilitate valve maintenance and repair; what standards is the original designer violating by designing it this way?
What kind of weird method is it? Such a design is quite normal; many control valves lack a platform, and since they require frequent maintenance, the control valves have to be lowered and placed on the nearest platform.
It is less than 0.5m away from the higher-level framework – why not design it to reach that higher-level framework?
The vent pipe must not have U-bends. Common installation errors.
