Depending on the material, there are many ways to connect plastic pipes. 1. Adhesive bonding method: This is mainly used for connecting hard PVC pipes and ABS pipes. The process involves applying adhesive to the socket and spigot, then pressing the spigot into the socket; once the adhesive has cured, the connection is complete. The solvents adhesives used are mostly solutions of PVC in **furan or**, requiring a moderate viscosity; the minimum viscosity at room temperature is 90 Pa·S. It has a fluid appearance, with no lumps or stratification. The PvVC content in the solution is not less than 10%. 2. Welding method: Mainly used for polyolefin pipes, such as LDPE, HDPE, and PP pipes. During welding, high technical skills are required, which is why it is used relatively less often. 3. Threaded connection: The threaded connection is relatively safe and reliable. However, since threading is required, the wall thickness of the pipes and fittings must be greater than that of pipes and fittings made by the solvent method. Thread packing can be made of white paint thread or tape. 4. Connection of reducers: There are two methods for this type of connection: one is using eccentric reducers, and the other is using concentric reducers.
